Canada Chosen to Host Series of Prestigious IWWF World Titled Waterski Events at Predator Bay Calgary, Alberta

The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) is delighted to announce that the Predator Bay Water Ski ClubTourism Calgary and Waterski & Wakeboard Canada (WSWC) has been awarded the bid to host three prominent world titled events in the world of waterskiing. This group has been entrusted with organizing the 2024 IWWF World Under 17 Waterski Championships, the 2025 IWWF World Under 21 Waterski Championships and the 2026 IWWF World Over 35 Waterski Championships. These highly anticipated competitions will take place at the breathtaking Lakes of Kastynstone in Calgary, Alberta  Canada.

This remarkable achievement highlights WSWC’s status as one of the leading authorities in the global waterskiing community and solidifies Canada’s reputation as a world-class destination for waterskiing”, said Jose Antonio Perez Priego, IWWF President.

Home of the Predator Bay Club, the Lakes of Kastynstone, with their stunning natural scenery and world-class facilities, is an ideal choice for hosting these championships. Located in Calgary, a city known for its vibrant sports culture and warm hospitality, participants and spectators can look forward to an exceptional experience both on and off the water.  Amongst many Canadian National events, the club and venue have hosted the 2009 IWWF World Open Waterski Championships as well as Pro Tournaments in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2022. 2024 will mark the return of an IWWF World Titled event to the venue.

Event Dates:

  • IWWF World Under 17 Waterski Championships – 27th July to 3rd August 2024
  • IWWF World Under 21 Waterski Championships – 26th July to 2nd August 2025
  • IWWF World Over 35 Waterski Championships – 25th July to 2nd August 2026

The first IWWF World Titled Event on the Predator Bay calendar, the 2024 IWWF World Under 17 Waterski Championships, will gather the most talented young waterski athletes from around the world. The event will provide an exceptional platform for rising stars to showcase their skills and compete for the title of world champion.   The event will be towed exclusively by the World record-setting Ski Nautique.  Detailed information will be circulated in due course and available at the event website.
